After solidifying their academic foundation through Dutchess Community College, Institute students who have honed their skills in critical thinking, test taking, reading, writing and independent living skills can transfer to Curry College in Milton, MA.
Our carefully cultivated relationship with Curry College allows us to craft a transition plan for students who have completed their remedial work and mastered the crucial independence skills necessary to live and study for advanced degrees. Curry has the advantage our students need to be successful in their Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL). PAL is designed for students who have a primary diagnosis of a language-based learning disability and/or AD/HD. Students receive additional support and work in individual and/or small classes with a PAL faculty member developing strategies in areas such as reading comprehension, written language, speaking, listening, organization, and time management.
Curry College is one of the leading small liberal arts colleges in the country and there is no better place for our students to continue their undergraduate work. |
