Weekends at the Institute are an opportunity for students to try new things, explore the area, or just relax on campus. Weekend activities are planned by our Director of Student Activities with assistance from the Student Committee. We try to ensure that our students have various opportunities to have fun or just get a break from the weekday rigors of working and studying.
Popular off-campus destinations include movies, shopping excursions, visiting local museums, bowling, concerts, cheering on the local college teams, plays at the local theater, festivals and fairs, as well as monthly excursions to New York City. Because of our location, students take advantage of opportunities in nearby Connecticut, Albany, NYC and Massachusetts. The Burnett Internet Cafe is the hub of social activity on campus. Boasting a video game center, a section for movies, pool table, foosball table, dart board and the ever-popular dance floor. Students enjoy monthly theme parties that include an '80s Totally Tubular Party, Halloween Bash, Ugly Sweater Party and Valentine's Day dance.
